Meet one of our speakers at Catalyst 2024: Tom Habib!
Tom will be speaking to us from the Bible and modelling how to do Biblical Theology in his talk.

Hi Tom, introduce the members of your family to us!
I’m married to Jess, and have three children – Peter, Jemimah and Annabelle
What do you teach at Moore College and what are some areas of research and thinking you’re especially interested in?
I lecture on New Testament and Greek at Moore College. I am interested in a range of areas of study, including narrative studies in John’s Gospel, communicative approaches to ancient language learning, and training and feedback in preaching.

Who are the people who were key to your training in Christian ministry?
My ministers at church played a very important role in training me, from getting me involved in youth ministry at church, inviting me to do MTS, and encouraging me to go to Moore College. They provided a wonderful model of godly living and faithful ministry that shaped me into who I am today.

And finally, why do you think Biblical Theology is important?
Biblical Theology is important because the Bible was written for our instruction (Romans 15:4; 1 Cor 10:6). Biblical theology is about understanding how the whole Bible speaks to us today as we seek to trust in Jesus and live for him.
